Malayalapuzha Bhagavathy Temple, Pathanamthitta

The Malayalapuzha Bhagavathy Temple is a 3000 year temple where a 5’5” tall Goddess, known as the ‘Malyalapuzha Amma’, greets all her devotees. In a secluded section of Pathanamthitta lies this ancient temple, rumoured to have the power to help devotees realise their heart’s desires. Believers flock to partake of the many blessing of the Goddess who has watched over its inhabitants for a long time. The idol is said to be made of katusarkarayogam (a rare and special preparation of idols). One can also see some beautiful carvings and paintings on the walls here.
