Parumala Church in Pathanamthitta

Countless pilgrims flock to the Malankara Orthodox Church at Parumala in Pathanamthitta district to ask favours of the patron saint at this 2000 year-old church. Believed to be one of the oldest churches in India. The Ormaperunnal (Commemoration Day) of Mar Gregorios Metropolitan, the declared saint of Malankara Orthodox Church at Parumala, is celebrated on the 1st and 2nd of November.
