Airports in kerala

Kerala, a state in India, has three major international airports:

  1. Cochin International Airport (COK): Located in Kochi (Cochin), it is the busiest and largest airport in Kerala. It serves as the primary gateway to the state and handles both domestic and international flights.
  2. Trivandrum International Airport (TRV): Situated in Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum), the capital city of Kerala, this airport is the second busiest in the state. It operates both domestic and international flights.
  3. Calicut International Airport (CCJ): Located in Karipur, near Kozhikode (Calicut), it is the third major international airport in Kerala. It handles a significant number of domestic and international flights.

Apart from these three airports, there are a few smaller domestic airports within Kerala:

  1. Kannur International Airport (CNN): Located in Kannur, this airport serves as a domestic airport with limited international connectivity.
  2. Cochin Naval Air Station (INS Garuda): Located in Kochi, it is a naval aviation facility operated by the Indian Navy. Although primarily a military base, it occasionally serves civilian flights during certain circumstances.

These are the major airports in Kerala as of my knowledge cutoff in September 2021. Please note that airport information, including names and operations, may change over time, so it’s always best to check for the latest updates directly from official sources or airport authorities.
